This manual describes how to configure PageSentry to monitor your Internet servers and to notify you as soon as a problem occurs. This manual does not explain how to install or configure the Internet servers PageSentry is capable of monitoring.

System Requirements

PageSentry runs only under the Mac OS, including the Apple Macintosh and Macintosh clones. PageSentry has the following additional requirements:

• System 7.1 or later.
• Apple's Thread Manager (installed automatically with system 7.5 or later).
• Open Transport 1.1 or later, or MacTCP 2.0.6 or later.
• 1 MB free application memory for PageSentry, 2 MB free for PageSentry Pro.
• 1 MB free hard drive space.

Your PageSentry package includes:

• The PageSentry application.

• Example AppleScripts
• Free PageSentry upgrades for one year.

It is strongly recommended that you do not run PageSentry on the same computer as any of your Internet servers. Should the server crash for any reason (loss of connectivity, power failure, motherboard failure), PageSentry will not be able to notify you of the problem.
